gangotir yatra darshan: According to Hindu Religion and mythology goddess Ganga The daughter of heaven manifested herself in the form of a river to absolve the sins of King Bhagirath's predecessors, following his severe penance of several centuries. Lord Shiva received into his matted locks to minimize the immense impact of her fall. She came to be called Bhagirathi at her legendary source.

Gangotri is situated at an altitude of 3,200 mts. above sea-level amidst a narrow glacial valley covered by a Pine and Cider forest! Gangotri is situated in Uttarakhand at the height of 3,048 meters in the magnificent Garhwal Himalayas. The 6 meters high Gangotri shrine is dressed in white granite stone and is situated on the right bank of the river, Bhagirathi. 14 kms from Gangotri is Gaumukh, where the source of the holy Ganges - the Gangotri glacier - is situated. Submerged in the water is the "shivling", the rock on which Lord Shiva supposedly sat to receive Ganga.

How to Reach Gangotri

There are several ways to reach Gangotri-

Gangotri By air:-
Nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which is a domestic airport located at about 226 km away from city center. Taxi cabs are available from airport to Gangotri city, which cost about Rs 4000. The airport operates daily flights to Delhi. Nearest International airport is Delhi, which is about 513 km away.

Gangotri By Train:-
Rishikesh is the nearest railway station, which is about 250 km away. The station is well connected to many major cities in India. The taxi charge between Rishikesh and Gangotri is about Rs 4500.

Gangotri By Bus:-

Gangotri is well connected by state owned bus services. Many buses are available from Gangotri to Uttarakashi (97 km), Yamunotri (232 km), Mussoorie (250 km) and Tehri (167 km). Private deluxe buses charge about Rs 3 per kilometer while state buses charge less than Re 1 per kilometer.

केदारनाथ - १२ ज्योतिर्लिंग में से एक है , जो उत्तराखंड के जनपद रुद्रप्रयाग में स्तिथ है 

Kedarnath is one of the holiest Hindu Lord Shiva temples is located a top the Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini river in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand in India. The temple is believed to have been built by Adi Sankaracharya and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.

ठन्डे मौसम के कारण यह मंदिर १२ महीने खुला नहीं होता है यह अप्रैल महीने के कार्तिक पूर्णिमा को खुलता है तथा नवम्बर माह तक बंद हो जाता है ! नवम्बर से अप्रैल माह तक भगवान भोले नाथ की मूर्ति उखीमठ मै विराजमान रहती है ! केदारनाथ मंदिर पूरी तरह सड़क से नहीं जुड़ा है यहाँ पहुँचने के लिए गौरीकुंड से १४ km  की चढाई चडनी पड़ती है जो तुम घोड़े, खच्चर, डंडी, कंडी इत्यादि का इस्तेमाल करके पूरी कर सकते हो
